Making Life Beautiful Again | Health and Beauty for Midlife Women

** Top 3% Global-Ranked Podcast for Midlife Women **

Are you feeling weighed down by the physical and emotional changes that come with midlife? Do you wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and barely recognize the woman staring back at you? Feeling lost and wondering who you are now that your kids are grown?

Welcome to ’Making Life Beautiful Again,’ the podcast designed for midlife women ready to take control, rediscover their spark, and reignite their passion for life. Here, you’ll find the guidance and encouragement you need to navigate this unique season with confidence and grace.

Hey, I’m Michelle. An empty-nester, grandma, and Jesus lover. I know firsthand what it feels like to wrestle with self-doubt and the inner critic during midlife. It’s like being caught in a storm where your mind, body, and spirit are all in flux.

I tried every beauty trick in the book, hoping to feel better, but the mirror kept reflecting my fears: ’Am I still beautiful? Do I still have a purpose?’

Then one day, I had a breakthrough. If I’m created in the image of Christ, how could I ever see myself as anything less than worthy and beautiful? Those negative thoughts were lies, diminishing the incredible woman God designed me to be.

The truth is, our bodies and lives change, and so should our self-care routines. I’m here to help you embrace this new chapter with grace and confidence.

If you’re ready to find a simple, effective plan tailored for midlife women… If you want solutions that fit seamlessly into your life, bringing you more energy, helping you shed those extra pounds, lifting your mood, and improving your sleep – this podcast is for you!

So grab your water bottle, lace up your walking shoes, and let’s get started making life beautiful again!

Have you ever loved a beautiful dress, enjoyed doing your makeup, cared about your skin, or simply wanted to feel beautiful... and then wondered what someone else might think about you for caring?
For Christian women, beauty can get complicated fast.
The world gives us one definition of beauty. Scripture gives us a much deeper one. And somewhere in between, many of us have picked up ideas about vanity, modesty, appearance, and what a “godly woman” is supposed to look like.
In this episode, we’re opening Chapter 4 of Crowned in Beauty: The Lie That Beauty Is Vanity and drawing a clearer line between beauty and vanity.
I’m sharing the pageant story that challenged some of my own assumptions about beauty, how I realized I had been judging what was happening in someone’s heart by what I could see on the outside, and why Esther’s story made me rethink beauty as part of preparation rather than something automatically shallow.
We’ll also look at why Esther’s beauty opened a door, while her character and favor helped her carry what came next.
This episode is for the Christian woman who loves beauty but does not want beauty to define her, and who wants to enjoy skincare, fashion, makeup, and feeling beautiful without constantly wondering whether someone else will misunderstand her.
By the end, I hope you’ll have a better question to ask than, “Does this look vain?”
Instead:
What place is beauty holding in my life?
That is where discernment begins.
SCRIPTURE MENTIONED
1 Samuel 16:7“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Esther 2Esther’s preparation, beauty treatments, favor, and path to becoming queen.
FEATURED BOOK
Crowned in Beauty
If this conversation made you rethink what you’ve believed about beauty, Chapter 4 goes much deeper into the lie that beauty is vanity and the beliefs many Christian women have carried for years.

Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I’m just low-maintenance,” “I don’t like attention,” or “I’m more comfortable behind the scenes”?
What if those statements didn’t begin as personality at all?
What if they started as protection?
A comment about your body. A moment of embarrassment. A relationship where being noticed felt unsafe. A message about modesty or vanity that landed harder than anyone realized.
Those moments do more than hurt. They teach.
And when those lessons go unquestioned long enough, they start shaping the way you dress, receive compliments, use your voice, and decide whether it feels safe to be seen.
In this episode of Making Life Beautiful Again, we continue our Crowned in Beauty book tasting by opening Chapters 2 and 3 and talking about what happens when the wound becomes the teacher.
We’ll look at how protection can start looking like personality, why hiding can continue long after the original season has passed, and how Christian women can begin attaching spiritual language to behaviors that are actually rooted in fear.
We’ll also look at Esther’s own season of hiding and why her story gives us an important distinction: hiding can have a purpose, but it was never meant to become an identity.
This episode is for the woman who has started wondering whether the quieter, more careful version of herself is really who she is or simply who she learned to become.

Have you ever looked at an old photo of yourself and thought, “There she is”?
Maybe you assumed you were missing your younger face, your old body, or the woman you were before midlife changed so much.
But what if you’re actually missing something deeper?
In this special Episode 101, I’m opening Crowned in Beauty for our very first book tasting and sharing part of Chapter One, “Do You Remember the Last Time You Twirled?”
We’re talking about the little girl who enjoyed being herself before beauty became something she evaluated, compared, fixed, or questioned.
In this episode, you’ll hear:
why looking at your younger self can stir up more than nostalgia
what we may really mean when we say, “I don’t feel like myself anymore”
why feeling like yourself again doesn’t mean becoming your younger self again
what Hadassah, before she became Queen Esther, can teach us about identity and becoming
one simple question that can help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that still belong in this season
Here’s the question I want you to carry with you:
What did you know about yourself before you learned to question it?

Hello beautiful!
Have you ever noticed how one conversation can leave you feeling peaceful while another has your jaw clenched and your shoulders up around your ears?
Or how a certain song, scent, room, person, or even the thoughts running through your own mind can completely change how you feel?
In this episode, we’re talking about everyday frequencies and the inputs your mind, body, and spirit are responding to all day long.
And yes, we’re going to talk about David and Saul.
Long before we had words like emotional regulation, Scripture gives us this fascinating picture of David playing his harp and Saul experiencing relief. It raises an interesting question: What are we tuning into, and how might it be affecting the way we feel and even the way we carry our face and body?
We’ll talk about:
What I mean when I use the word “frequency”
The surprising ways frequency and sensory input show up in everyday life
How sound, words, people, color, scent, thoughts, and our surroundings can affect us
Why stress and emotional tension often show up in the jaw, brow, breathing, posture, and facial expression
The David and Saul story and what music can teach us about the way we respond to our environment
Why the most important question may be less about what you need to tune out and more about Who you are tuning into first
Because you can spend all day trying to control every input around you, or you can build your day on a stronger foundation.
For me, that foundation is Papa God.
Psalm 3:3 calls Him the One who lifts my head, and that has become an important part of how I think about beauty, face exercise, emotional regulation, and the way we care for ourselves as Christian women.
Ready to practice this with me?
I’ve brought these ideas together in my 12-Minute Non-Surgical Facelift for Women Over 40, combining face exercise with Scripture, intentional thought, breathing, emotional regulation, and supportive sensory inputs.
It’s designed for the woman who wants to care for her face and spend intentional time with God without adding another long routine to an already-full day.
You can purchase the course and continue practicing with me inside the membership for $12/month.

Because before we worry about lifting everything we see in the mirror, we can tune into the One who lifts our heads.

Hello beautiful!
Noticing jowls, a softer jawline, turkey neck, or more tension around your mouth and neck? Before adding another face exercise, jaw exerciser, or “mewing” technique, there may be something much simpler you need to look at first: posture.
In this episode, Michelle shares the jawline mistakes she made when she first noticed her own neck changing, including the jaw-strengthening gadget that actually left her hurting. You’ll discover how body posture, tongue position, jaw clenching, sleep posture, and everyday tension may influence how your lower face looks and feels, plus why Michelle always works on posture before face exercise.
You’ll also learn one simple way to start noticing your own tension patterns today, especially if you’ve been concerned about jowls, facial asymmetry, TMJ symptoms, a sagging jawline, or neck changes in midlife.

Hello beautiful!
Does your skin feel sweaty and oily outside, then dry and tight the minute you step into air-conditioning?
Summer can make your skin feel like it has no idea what it wants. Add sun, wind, chlorine, extra sweating, and the temptation to wash your face every five minutes, and suddenly your usual summer skincare routine is not working the way it did a few months ago.
I know how frustrating that can be, especially when your skin is breaking out and feeling irritated at the same time.
In this episode, I’m sharing my simple Summer Skin S.O.S. framework to help you figure out what your skin is actually responding to before you start adding more products.
We’ll talk about the mixed signals mature skin can send in the summer, the habits that can quietly make dryness and irritation worse, and how to simplify your morning and evening routine so your skin can settle down.
And I’m saving one of my favorite practical tips for the end: how I handle sweaty summer skin without washing my face every thirty minutes.
You can also grab the Summer Skin S.O.S. worksheet inside the Making Life Beautiful Again Facebook group. It will help you decide what to continue, reduce, pause, or simplify this week.
XOXO,
Michelle

Hello beautiful!
Have you ever thought you had forgiven someone, only to feel the hurt rush back when something touched that old wound?
Forgiveness is rarely a one-time event. Sometimes we forgive what happened, then later realize we are still carrying the criticism, rejection, lost years, or painful beliefs the experience left behind.
In this episode, we are talking about how to forgive someone who hurt you, recognize when an old wound is affecting your emotions today, and stop allowing another person’s actions to shape your identity.
You may have hated the lesson, but you might be surprised by the woman God has been forming through it.
Sometimes our breakthrough toward the beautiful life we want to live comes through the breaking. When we allow the Lord to heal those places, we can emerge stronger, wiser, and more certain of who we are.

Hello beautiful!
Have you been using good skincare products but still feel like your face looks dull, tired, or pulled downward?
Your routine may not be the only thing affecting what you see in the mirror. Stress can change the way you breathe, tighten your jaw, affect your skin barrier, and create facial tension that skincare alone cannot release.
In this episode, Michelle explains the mind-skin connection and how stress and emotions can influence your skin, facial muscles, neck, posture, and overall appearance. You will also learn one simple breathing practice to help interrupt the stress pattern and give your face and body a different message.
This episode is for the woman who has been caring for her skin but still feels like stress is written all over her face. You will walk away understanding what may be pulling your face downward and how releasing tension can become an important part of your beauty routine.
Michelle also shares a sneak peek of her new 12-minute facelift using frequencies, breathwork, thought work, and face exercise.
